KANDU Care

CANDLE Care

ON FIRST BURN

  • When lighting your candle for the first time, it's very important to keep it lit until the whole surface is liquid wax and burn for at least 2-3 hours. This will prevent tunneling in the future and give your candle an even burn. We recommend that after the first burn, you should try to keep your candle lit for a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours and never more than 4 hours.

  • Light your candle in a well-ventilated area, where draft and wind won’t disturb the flame. This will keep your flame nice and stable, allowing it to burn correctly and minimise any smoking.

TRIM YOUR WICK

  • Always trim your wick to 3mm – 5mm before each use. You can use a wick trimmer, nail clipper, or your nail.

PUTTING OUT YOUR CANDLE

  • To be safe, we recommend you use a snuffer to extinguish your candle. Blowing it out can cause some of the wick to drop into the wax and slightly damage the wick.

SAFETY

  • Please do not leave your candles unattended, and place them away from drafts, children, and pets. Candles should always be placed on a heat resistant base and set on a level stable surface.

Wax Care

ON FIRST USE

  • When using your wax melts for the first time, only place a small amount in your burner. Allow the wax to fully melt before judging the fragrance strength. This helps you get the best scent throw and prevents wasting wax.

  • We recommend changing your wax once the scent has fully faded rather than continuously reheating it. This ensures you always get the strongest fragrance experience from your melts.

DON'T OVER Fill THE WAX BURNER

  • Too much wax can spill when it melts and affects fragrance performance.

DON'T ADD WATER OR MIX OTHER SUBSTANCES INTO WAX MELTS

  • This can damage the burner and reduce scent throw.

DON'T KEEP REHEATING WAX THAT HAS NO SCENT LEFT

  • Once the fragrance has faded, reheating it won’t release any more scent

DONT LEAVE WAX MELTS UNATTENDED WHILE IN USE

  • Always treat them like a live heat source.
